The jar
A friend set out to invent something — a quiet place to keep makeup brushes, closed away from dust and light. The early forms never felt right. Sitting with the latest one, I kept returning to a single detail: a brush only holds its shape one way, so it has to be lifted, never laid flat. An old barber’s jar came to mind — tools standing upright, sealed, ready — and I drew the shape Brushean carries today.
